Better way to display photos... Treads.NZ

Hey there,
So as I keep going on about it Treads.NZ is still happening and is almost there. I've just been working on methods to bring settings from this website across to the other website... after you've registered. Something that's hopefully going to make the transition a little easier.
This hosting space is fast running out of space for your photos... You have racked up over 5GB of photos... that's pretty impressive.
Because of the number of photos being uploaded these days I really think there's a better way to display them. Please, if you have any suggestions I'd love to hear them. It's all about sharing your sneaker content with others so... how do you think this could be done better?
I wait with anticipation to see what you all say.

@crush3me I haven't used Amazon S3 before as I'm yet to work out how much it would actually cost but that's the theory for treads.nz. It uses a block storage node from Linode. It will be on a server of it's own so expansion is set at a fixed price.

@niketnshox A possible solution but I think these days people expect slightly higher quality in their photos.

@joshsneaker true but if you need to save space it might come down to it the only other thing i can think of is uploading there pics to a site like photobucket and giving links to there pics or worse comes to worse members paying membership to help with the site and cost ?

I'd like to see the old photosets coming back like when you had the original version of crushme back in the days.

@niketnshox Space isn't really an issue... It's more that I have more photos these days I don't know how to correctly display them.

i actually like instagram set up with pics where the thumbnail shows one pics but you can swipe to see more in that thumbnail as there are more pics like a group in one small pic folder, maybe see if a picture collage would work many pics in one screen shot

Just a silly suggestion but....
Can you split the photo hosting off from the web host?
Use a service such as Amazon S3 as object storage and then as we interact with the site on here, it serves as a resource link.
